Love is in the air, and so is a whole lot of excitement! 💖
This Valentine’s Day, we’re inviting all York Road learners to spread a little extra joy by dressing up! On Friday 14 February 2025, we’re hosting a Valentine’s Dress-Up Day for all learners. Dress up will be at a cost of R10.
This year, we’re going all out with THREE fabulous pink, white and red themes for the day:
- Twinning: Grab your best friend, sibling, or even your favourite teacher, and dress in matching outfits! From head-to-toe coordination to colour-coordinated accessories, we want to see those twin vibes in full force. The more synchronized, the better! 👯♂️
- Dress to Impress: Whether your child is channelling a mini fashionista, a future rockstar, or a tiny trendsetter, we’re encouraging everyone to bring their A-game in the fashion department. Dress to WOW! 🌟✨
- Love to Be Comfortable: Not everyone wants to wear a bowtie or a tutu, and that’s totally fine! If your little one loves to be cozy, let them express their love for comfort with a snuggly hoodie, or their comfiest “I’m ready to conquer the world” shoes. Comfort is key! 💖👕
Whether it’s rocking a red tutu, donning a pink superhero cape, or sporting a shirt with the most adorable love-themed design, we want our classrooms to be as colourful and cheerful as a box of chocolates. 🍫
Some guidelines to keep in mind:
- No costumes that may distract from learning. We love creativity, but let’s keep it classroom-friendly!
- Please ensure your child is comfortable in their outfit – dancing, reading, and learning are all on the agenda, so we want everyone to feel great!
Various goodies will be sold and can be purchased as a combo deal. More details on this to follow.
We can’t wait to see how everyone brings the love! If your child is feeling extra crafty, they might just come home with a few surprise Valentine’s Day cards or treats to share with family!
