Request for Prize Donations – York Road Primary School Car and Bike Show Fundraiser
We are excited to announce that York Road Primary School will be hosting its first-ever Car and Bike Show on Saturday, 18 October 2025, from 11:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The event will take place on Portia Primary School’s field and will be open to the public. Entry fees will be R50 per adult, R20 for children aged 4–18, and free for children under 3 years old.
The main goal of this event is to raise much-needed funds for our school, as a significant number of our learners come from underprivileged backgrounds and live in extremely poor conditions. Many families face daily financial challenges, which makes it difficult for them to meet their children’s school fee obligations. Through this initiative, we aim to ease this burden, ensuring that no child is denied the right to quality education, due to financial hardship.
To guarantee success, we are reaching out to local businesses and community members to kindly donate prizes which can be awarded on the day. These may include anything from gift vouchers, hampers, promotional items or services. No donation is deemed too small—all contributions will make a meaningful difference.
Your support will help us to not only raise funds, but uplift the morale of our learners and their families, as we demonstrate how the community supports education and our learners’ futures. Should your business also wish to be present at the event to show support or promote your services, we would gladly welcome your participation.
