GOLDEN RULE:

The road area opposite the DROP & GO gate is NOT a parking area – IT IS DROP, THEN GO – NOT park, drop and watch learners, then go.

DO & DON’T:

• Do exercise a co-operative attitude to ensure a smooth morning and afternoon traffic flow routine.
• Don’t park i.e. stop your vehicle and exit your vehicle in Edgar Rd opposite the DROP & GO area. If you really need to exit your vehicle to park, and watch learners, follow the designated areas on the map to be a considerate parent.
• Don’t be impolite or have a derogatory demeanour toward the safety officers when asked to move on, they are there to keep a constant flow of traffic and to assist you and your children.
• Don’t disregard the “ORANGE TRAFFIC CONES”, the cones indicate the “NO PARK” zones.
• Don’t obstruct the neighbour’s driveway with your vehicle.

DROP-OFF / PICK-UP OPTIONS FOR LEARNERS:

• The DROP-OFF zones are the same for morning and afternoon traffic. (Dismissal times are staggered)
• Learners may still be dropped off in Holmes Rd and proceed all along the school fence side walkway into Lower York Road toward the Drop & Go gates.
• Learners may be dropped off along Lower York Road before Roy Rd East and walk on the school fence side walkway toward the Drop & Go gates. Vehicles exit along Roy Rd East.
• Drop off the learner in Roy Rd East and use the pedestrian crossing over to the school fence side walkway along Lower York Road and proceed on the sidewalk toward the Drop & Go gates.
• In winter – learners enter both the pedestrian gate at the front school entrance and Drop & Go gates, and walk along Access Walk to their respective grade areas.

Parents remember, you too are responsible to create a safe environment and ensure the well-being of your child. Be courteous and considerate when using the “DROP & GO” area.
