CELEBRATE 175 Years of YORK ROAD PRIMARY SCHOOL with an Outdoor Movie Night

Dear parents and guardians,
We are excited to invite you to a special event as part of our 175th Anniversary Celebrations – a Night Under the Stars on Friday, May 9th! This year, we are marking a major milestone in our school’s history. What better way to celebrate than with a fun movie night under the stars.
Event Details:
- Date: Friday, May 9th (Weather Permitting)
- Time: Movie starts at 6PM (Gates will open at 5PM – arrive early to secure your spot!)
- Location: York Road Primary Amphitheatre
This family-friendly movie night will be a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community, celebrate our school’s 175 years, and create lasting memories. We’ll be screening a great movie for all ages, and we encourage you to bring your friends and family to enjoy the evening!
Regrettably, no children under the age of 5 will be allowed at the event.
Ticket Information: Tickets for this event will only be available through Quicket. Online tickets must be purchased in advance. Here are the ticket options:
- Movie & lawn chair – R125
- Combo (Boerewors & cooldrink) – R40 (excludes movie)
Tickets are limited, so be sure to book yours early!
What to Bring:
- Blankets and/or cushions (for a comfortable seat)
- As all tickets include a lawn chair, NO camp chairs will be permitted at the event.
- Snacks and drinks to enjoy during the movie. NO alcohol is permitted – bags will be checked.
- A jacket or sweater to stay warm as the evening cools
