Winter Wonderland Concert
Dear parents/guardians,
A reminder that the concert will take place on the following nights:
- All ‘A’ classes on Tuesday, 29th of August 2023
- All ‘B’ classes on Wednesday, 30th of August 2023
- All ‘C’ classes on Thursday, 31st of August 2023
We are thrilled to announce that our Winter Wonderland concert has completely SOLD OUT! A huge thank you to all our parents for supporting our first big production post COVID. Our apologies to those parents who were unable to obtain tickets. Unfortunately, due to Safety and Fire Regulations the school is unable to exceed the allocated ticket sales per night as this will endanger the lives of our learners and parents who are attending the concert. The Fire Department will be doing random checks and will evacuate the hall should we exceed the stipulated capacity.
PARKING
Access to the school grounds will only be granted to those persons in possession of the correct nights tickets. Please have your tickets ready and show them when accessing the school grounds. Additional parking will be available on Portia Primary School’s grounds. We do encourage that you arrive timeously. We encourage all parents to be seated by 18h20 as the concert will start promptly at 18h30.
TUCKSHOP
A Tuckshop selling chips, mini chocolates and cooldrink will be available each evening. Sales will commence before the concert, continue during intermission and after the concert. Please support the Tuckshop.
As part of safety protocols no learners will be allowed to leave until the concert is over. Parents or guardians need to collect their children from the respective rooms in which they are housed. You will need to sign your child out.

Learners have to arrive at school and report to their respective rooms at 17h45 each evening. We cannot wait to see you all next week!

Good day all, how does this make sense and I understand safety factor.
So my child is in the concert and I must drop him off everyday for the concert, but I cannot watch my child perform in the concert.
Is the tickets sold out to parents only or was some allowed to purchase more than 2 tickets. This is really unfair.

Why was each child not given atleast 1 ticket to purchase. I have 2 kids in the show and can’t see either. Some were sold 6+ .
