York Road Primary School proudly celebrates 175 years of excellence, growth, and community spirit with a spectacular two-day carnival on 23 & 24 January 2026. This milestone event is not only a tribute to our rich history but also a joyful gathering of learners, families, and the wider community.

Over the course of the weekend, the school grounds will come alive with exciting rides for all ages, delicious food stalls, and vibrant entertainment and performances. The carnival will be a place where past and present meet, where memories are shared, and where the future of York Road Primary is celebrated with pride and joy.

Beyond the fun and festivities, this is also an important fundraising event, supporting the school’s continued growth and ensuring its legacy for generations to come. It promises to be an inclusive, safe, and unforgettable celebration that captures the spirit of 175 years in motion.

  1. Good day. My comment isn’t related to the event but rather regarding educators that prevent kids from wearing rain jackets when it’s raining. I’m aware that it’s supposed to be Spring but we still experiencing rainy weather. Do they prefer children getting sick and loosing out in school work? They are more worried about the dress code. I wonder what the Human Rights Commissioner, Chris Nissen would say about this.
