Dear Parent
We trust you are well and safe during this trying and testing period.
On the 11th July 2021, the President announced that all schools will remain closed until the 26th July 2021.
We are in constant contact with the WCED and will keep parents informed regarding the safe reopening of our school. We will also provide guidance with regard to whether all learners are to return on a daily basis or if we will continue with the Red/Blue Attendance Programme.
TERM 3
In order to reduce the negative impact this extended school closure will have on our learners’ academic progress, we urge parents to implement the following from the 19th of July 2021:
- Structure Monday to Friday (09h00 – 13h00) similar to a school day
- Use this time to complete Term 3 activities (new work) provided by the educator
- Revise Term 1 and 2 schoolwork, especially English, Afrikaans and Mathematics
- Complete DBE workbooks (Blue Book) for Term 1 & 2
- Read both English and Afrikaans stories daily
- Grade 4 – 7 learners can read Term 3 curriculum content in their Subject textbooks.(Refer to the Content page for details)
- Monitor and sign the completed work on a daily basis to ensure your child is working regularly and at an acceptable pace.
Educators will offer guidance via our Google Classroom platform.
COVID 19 PROTOCOLS
We encourage all parents to continue to implement the Covid 19 Protocols
- Limit contact with persons outside your household and ensure social distancing takes place
- Wear a mask, which covers your mouth and nose, when leaving your home
- Wash hands frequently
SCHOOL FEES
Thank you to all parents who are paying school fees. We appeal to parents to continue paying School Fees as the funds are required to create a clean and safe environment as well as to provide quality education.
Please deposit school fees directly into the School’s Bank Account.
